Not much is known about this producer except that he’s one of the farmers that have benefited from the Sol de la Mañana program initiated by Agricafe and the Rodríguez family.

Known for their meticulously managed farms and their drive to revitalize Bolivia's coffee industry, the program was created by the Rodríguez’ with the goal of sharing best practices with local producers. By using their farms as model operations, the family aimed to improve coffee quality, increase yields, and support the livelihoods of small-scale producers affected by the decline of Bolivian coffee, exacerbated by the country's troubled history with the cocaine trade.

Luis first got involved through his mother, Carmelita, and after assisting her, made the decision to establish his own coffee farm. Located in the mountainous areas near Caranavi, his farm embodies a combination of tradition and innovation and under the guidance of the Sol de la Mañana program, Luis has adopted sustainable farming practices that not only enhance the quality of his coffee but also preserve the environment.

Beyond just quality, this partnership represents a shared commitment to creating a more sustainable and equitable future for Bolivian coffee producers. By forming long-term relationships with producers like Luis, programs like Sol de la Mañana provide farmers the support they need to thrive, while at the same time offering coffee lovers a taste of something truly remarkable.
